Serum BUN (mmol/L)
Urine Urea (mmol/L)
Serum Creatinine (mmol/L)
Urine Creatinine (mmol/L)
FEUrea (%)

Calculation(s) used

Notes

FEUrea is the percentage of the Urea filtered by the kidney which is excreted in the urine and is useful in the evaluation of acute renal failure and oliguria.

NB: FEUrea is a suitable alternative to the FENa calculation and is not affected by diuretic therapy (The FENa calculation cannot be used in patients taking Diuretics as these alter Sodium Reabsorption).
